USA is the first country that achieved absolute global dominance from military, economic, culture, politic aspect(if you don’t count the nuclear weapons). The British Empire almost got to this point. There may be tough guys like China and Russia, but their economy still relys on US, and in most international trades, they still have to use US dollar. And USA’s military expenditure is more than two of them’s added up. Aside from these two countries, nobody else could really say no to US.
